What is Brittany's long-term creative goal?
Her goal is to build a career as a writer. Most of her songs grow from poetry she has accumulated over the years. While she enjoys singing, she identifies writing as her strongest gift. She is open to songwriting collaborations and to discussing song-use agreements or potential sales with artists interested in using or recording her songs, with rights and terms negotiated individually.
Who is SOULTRE, and who is The Writer?
The Writer is Brittany Wilson — writer, producer, engineer and vocalist. The project began with the idea of a band of two. When the intended partnership with a second artist did not work out, Brittany used her technology skills to create SOULTRE, a sentinel AI persona curated from her own voice. SOULTRE contributes harmonies and background vocals, and takes the lead on some songs.
How do the two voices appear across The Good Heart?
Brittany estimates that her own singing appears on about 80% of the songs on Pt. 2, while SOULTRE appears on about 60% of the songs on Pt. 1. These figures include any vocals — lead, background or harmony — not just lead singing. Both voices can appear on the same song.
Why release The Good Heart in two chapters?
Pt. 1, out since April 2026, holds the reaching and the wanting. Pt. 2 carries the consequence: heartbreak, reckoning, healing, and finally coming home.
What does the record sound like?
Warm and unhurried soul. Low-lit chords, patient drums, harmony stacked like candlelight — written for headphones and rain on glass.
What should a listener do with it?
Play it late, alone or with one other person, and let it run in order. The sequence is the story.
